To learn to contain and express our feelings safely and respectfully of self and others is vital to ours and others well beings. Big feelings are to be expected for big events and we utilize our intimate circles to process and resolve those feelings. When we walk around like a time bomb waiting to explode or attack at the slightest provocation it is a natural response of others to defend (fight) or remove (flight) themselves and we often feel as though we are out of control. No one enjoys nor can tolerate being regularly bombarded with such negative energy. Learning to recognize when we are feeling ramped up and some skills to bring things down to manageable levels will do more to help us feel empowered than just about anything else.
